BC Farmers’ Market Nutritional Coupon Program
About the Program
***CLOSED FOR THE YEAR AS OF JULY 13 2022***
For the last two years, OCSU has teamed up with the BC Farmers’ Market Association to become a Nutrition Coupon Program Partner.
Our goal with this partnership is to improve the overall health of our lower-income members by increasing their access to healthy local foods. This is achieved by distributing coupons, which can be redeemed at participating BC Farmers’ Markets.
How it Works
All eligible OCSU members can apply once a month to participate in the program (while supplies last). Applications for the program close as soon as we run out of coupons.
Please note that as of mid-July 2022 we have distributed all of our coupons for the year.
Emergency Funding
We know that food security is just one piece of a very complex puzzle. In addition to accessing our food security resources, students can apply to the Okanagan College Student Emergency Fund for short term financial help.
