RIDE SHARE.

Every day hundreds of single occupancy vehicles travel to and from our campuses. This poses a number of problems: large amounts of dangerous vehicle emissions, high individual cost of driving, and a lack of parking spaces for most campuses. For those trying to reduce their use of cars, pairing up with someone coming and going at a convenient time has been a matter of chance.

The OCSU Ride Share is an environmental friendly initiative of your Students' Union aimed at helping reduce carbon emissions by making carpooling easy. Rides posted on the Ride Share show starting point and destination, schedule, cost sharing, and more. Because Okanagan College is a muti-campus institution, and many students have classes spread across the valley, there are many opportunities to carpool.

Attending a concert in Vancouver? Going home for the holidays? The Ride Share includes not only rides to and from campus but also to and from any city. And now, the OCSU Ride Share has gone national. Other members of the Canadian Federation of Students in our region and across Canada can post their rides – giving you even more opportunities to save cash and meet fellow students on all of your travels!
