YOUR STUDENT'S UNION
Your Students' Union is democratically run by students, for students.
Let's take a look at how the structure of the OCSU breaks down.
First, lets look at the membership of the OCSU, as broken down at the campus level. Students on the Salmon Arm, Penticton, and Kelowna campuses are all members of the same organization, but for the purpose of elections it is broken down like this:

Every fall, the membership on each campus elects from itself six Campus Council Representatives. This forms the Campus Councils for each Campus. These bodies serve as the organizing committees for all the great events we host every year.

To discuss campaigns, lobbying efforts, and long term planning, these Campus Councils elect from themselves four campus representatives to sit on the Union Executive.

Also included on the OCSU Executive are Student Representatives elected to serve on the College Board. These two student positions do not vote on the OCSU Executive, but serve to facilitate communication between the OCSU and the College Board.

The Executive itself elects four Portfolio positions from itself to manage the day to day affairs of the Union, and to lead the Executive in its work throughout the year. These portfolio executives manage a particular section of everything the OCSU is involved it, be it media relations, our finances, our campaigns and services, or our government lobbying. You can always be sure that no matter what it is we are involved in, an elected representative is overseeing it.
We hope that this model helps you understand how your Students' Union is designed to represent all of our members across the Okanagan-Shuswap regions. Whether you study in the South Okanagan or on the Salmon Arm campus, you can be assured that your needs are represented in all levels of student governance!
