The Harbour
In addition to being a dedicated LGBTQ2S+ Inclusive Safe Space for all students on the Penticton Campus (read more about it here), the Harbour also has a free food shelf. Stocked with a variety of non-perishable food items as well as basic hygiene and toiletry items, our goal is to provide short-term relief for students facing food insecurity and hardship. No student should ever have to choose between buying groceries and paying bills.
Apples and other fruits are also available (when in season) thanks to our partnership with the Okanagan Fruit Tree Project.
Harbour Guidelines
- Once per week, each student may take up to seven items.
- Out of consideration for students accessing other services in the Harbour, please do not crowd the doorways.
The Harbour Hours of Operation:
Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Fridays: 8:30am – 2:00pm

Please note that The Harbour is occasionally subject to unexpected closures. We apologize for any inconvenience.
